“A temporary artist-run space in Alphabet City, Mooncalf is an experimental incubator for interdisciplinary art and ideas unencumbered by market and industry trends, focusing on the core values of intellectual honesty, inclusion, and collaboration. Started by Ryan Bock, Luke Ivy Price, and James Lambros, this communal space will strive for true progression in the arts and a counterculture that will feed the imaginations of the curious.
Mooncalf will have the capacity to accommodate exhibitions, intimate performances and screenings, readings, classes, group discussions, and meetings curated by our core members and our extended network. As face-to-face interactions and discussions between artists and the community and art patrons bridge the gap between cultural producers and consumers, Mooncalf strives to develop a more harmonious and productive ecosystem for support of radical and new creative concepts and collaborations.
We look forward to welcoming you in our space and sharing upcoming programming. For more info, please email mooncalfnyc@gmail.com.”
ANOTHER PROGRAMMING NOTE:
Due to the ongoing workers strike at Alamo Drafthouse, we will not be hosting our monthly DarkRoom screening in The Press Room. Please follow NYC Alamo United for more updates.
“What else can you do with it?”
