• HERE is a great interview with Charles Burnett and Boots Riley. CB: “Cinema is powerful. We’ve seen how a single image can transform how people see themselves and their history. I hope younger filmmakers use that power to engage, to challenge, to remember, and to care for the people who are most at risk of being forgotten.”
~ ~ FILM RECOMMENDATION ~ ~
Local legend and DarkRoom alumni Matthew Danger Lippman stars in this indie gem directed by Chris Scamurra. This film is the perfect example of world-building and creating a legacy on a shoestring with very few characters. Highly recommended.
