• ICYMI: We were recently written up in The Brooklyn Rail, highlighting our DarkRoom Screening series. Some wonderful words from Stephanie Monohan: “A DIY spirit informs everything about DarkRoom, from the micro-budget films it highlights to the accessibility of the event itself.” We couldn’t do this without the artists and audience that show up every month with welcomed curiosity for short films. Endless thanks.
• Make sure you visit AUTOPHOTO, NYC’s only gallery + museum dedicated to the art and history of photobooth photography. ~ ~ FILM RECOMMENDATION ~ ~
We had the pleasure of programming the fever dream of a short film that is Karupy at Slamdance earlier this year, and it’s now online for all to see. Directed by Kalainithan Kalaichelvan and lensed beautifully by Shady Hanna, please enjoy this dark Indian tragicomedy from Toronto.
